The Hairy Pig is a Nordic game restaurant in Gamla stan, Stockholm, rooted in the Swedish forest and Nordic food traditions. We opened in 2014 in small, narrow medieval premises in Gamla stan, serving our hand-stuffed wild boar sausage as our signature dish. The name The Hairy Pig comes from wild boar – the very first ingredient from the Swedish forest that we embraced, forming the foundation of our philosophy.

Our approach is based on Swedish, climate-smart ingredients, sustainability, and respect for traditional Nordic recipes. Over the years, we have grown and moved to larger premises at Lilla Nygatan 13, while staying true to our roots.

Today, our menu features a wide selection of Nordic game and forest meats, including wild boar, moose, deer, reindeer, and bear, combined with influences from Spanish tapas culture, focusing on sharing and social dining. We also proudly offer vegetarian and vegan options.
